INDIANAPOLIS, June 8, 2011 — dBLogic today announced that an agreement has been reached with leading wireless phone and accessory store group Airport Wireless, to offer dBLogic’s premium line of superior sound pressure level limiting HP-100 headphones and EP-100 earphones. Both products feature dBLogic’s SPL2™ technology to help protect users from harmful sound pressure that causes long-term hearing damage by regulating volume.
Today’s announcement gives dBLogic retail access to the entire network of Airport Wirelesses’ 24 airport locations across the U.S., and includes in-store availability at the 15 locations of subsidiary Techshowcase.
According to the American Academy of Audiology, approximately 12 percent of all children and teens ages 6-19 have noise induced hearing loss. dBLogic’s proprietary SPL2™ technology limits volume levels using advanced circuitry which eliminates the need for bulky battery-powered processors required by competitive sound pressure limiting products. By maintaining the integrity of the sound, the limiting is transparent to the listener.
